The name "Tuscalia" comes from the union between Tuscany and Australia. A story began in 2014 after a working experience on a farm located in the Yarra Valley.

Vinification

From hillside parcels around 210 m a.s.l. in Poggibonsi (Tuscany). Guyot & cordon with grassed rows; ~3,000 vines/ha; yield ~20 hl/ha; 
~32-year-old vines.
Hand-harvested in small boxes in the first week of September 
with careful selection.
Soft press and cryo-maceration for 2 days; stainless-steel fermentation at controlled temperature for a crisp, precise style.

Perfect from aperitivo (cheeses and vegetables) to seafood first courses and mains—its minerality and acidity lift and sharpen flavors.

Do you import (buy) grapes?

No. We grow all our grapes on the estate. We prioritize native Tuscan varieties.


Where are you located?

In Poggibonsi (Siena), Tuscany, near San Gimignano.


What are your soils like?

Mainly yellow Pliocene sands, free-draining and rich in minerals, supporting ripe fruit and fine tannins.


What is the “1756 underground cellar”?

The year it was excavated. Our historic cellar underground: cool, dark, constant temperature—ideal for patient aging.


Are you organic?

Yes, BIO organic certified by ICEA.


What do you mean by “light-touch winemaking”?

Minimal intervention on the grapes. Just transforming what Mother Nature has given us.


What defines your Chianti style?

A clear signature: only local grapes for a perfect Tuscan expression.
