1756 Experience

The 1756 Experience is our most complete cellar visit. You'll see both where our wines ferment in steel and cement tanks, and where they age in our historic underground cellar from 1756. Walk through the same space dug by Olivetan monks nearly 270 years ago, see French oak barriques aging our reds, and hear the story of seven generations of the Conforti family making wine on this land. Then taste five of our wines with a curated Tuscan board while we explain the technical choices and family tradition behind each bottle. This is for those who want the full story, from vineyard to glass.

Absolutely. While we share more technical details and family history, we explain everything clearly. Perfect for anyone who appreciates both the craft and the story behind the wine.

What's the difference between this and Winemaking Discovery?

This includes both cellars (fermentation + historic 1756), more wines (5 vs 4), the full family history story, and access to the underground aging cellar with French oak barriques.

How long is the cellar tour?

The full tour of both cellars takes approximately 45-60 minutes, followed by 30-45 minutes of guided tasting.

Is the historic cellar safe for children?

Yes, but it requires descending stairs. Children must be supervised at all times. If you have very young children, please let us know in advance.

Will I see the original 1756 documents?

Yes, we show the original documents found in the Olivetan monks' archives that prove the cellar was dug in 1756. They're preserved at the estate.

How cold is the underground cellar?

The 1756 cellar stays at a constant 15°C (59°F) year-round. It's noticeably cooler than outside, especially in summer. We recommend bringing a light jacket.
